Japanese conglomerate Sony Group Corp is considering spinning off and listing its semiconductor unit this year, as per a Bloomberg report. It could distribute the majority of its holding to shareholders and retain a minority stake in Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corp after the spinoff, the report added. The company also plans to spin off its financial arm.

Paytm parent One97 Communications' subsidiary First Games Technology has received a GST notice worth ₹5,712 crore. The issue relates to the dispute over whether online gaming companies should pay 28% GST on the total entry amount or 18% GST on the platform fee (revenue). "First Games will be filing a writ petition challenging the notice on legal grounds," One97 said.
