Third Neuralink brain implant patient communicates despite ALS

Brad Smith, the third person in the world to receive a Neuralink brain implant said that the technology helped him communicate amid his battle with non-verbal Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Neuralink’s brain-computer interface (BCI) controls Smith's MacBook Pro and helps him speak through a cloned AI voice. Smith controls his computer's cursor with his tongue through his brain signals.
