This year, tech layoffs have affected thousands of employees from various companies amid various reasons. The major reason for layoffs were restructuring, cost-cutting and AI adoption. So far in 2025, the job cuts in tech industry impacted 61,220 employees from 130 companies including Intel, Microsoft and others.
