Gen Z in India are purchasing homes later in life after building liquid wealth and earning enough to comfortably absorb loan EMIs, experts said. However, if Gen Z stops buying houses, it'd slow construction, hitting daily-wage labourers first. It'd also slow home loans for banks and reduce states' income via stamp duty, which could result in a cut in capex.
