Short-seller Morpheus Research, accused MakeMyTrip (MMT) of indulging in "anticompetitive practices" despite a significant penalty order from the regulator. It accused MMT of using several "adjusted" metrics to present inflated financial results. MMT downplayed competition to shareholders while losing market share and allowed "bad actor" hotels to proliferate on its platform, Morpheus alleged.
