Waymo, a US-based autonomous driving technology firm, briefly paused its robotaxi operations in San Francisco due to a PG&E power outage on Saturday caused by malfunctioning substation equipment. The firm later limited suspension to heavily impacted areas. Waymo said that robotaxi services were "successfully resumed" after the one-hour precautionary pause, adding that no passengers were stranded.
