Shares of Vodafone Idea (Vi) jumped 10% in the early session on Tuesday after the firm announced the government would convert its outstanding spectrum dues worth ₹36,950 crore into equity. Following the deal, the government's stake in Vi will rise from 22.60% to 48.99%. Vi's shares have lost around 50% of their value over the past 12 months.
