Skyroot's historic launch of India's first private orbital rocket, Vikram-1, paid tribute to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, recognised as 'Missile Man of India', by launching his microscopic sculpture on the rocket. Additionally, the launch on July 18 coincided with the launch of SLV-3, India's first indigenously developed rocket, 46 years ago. Dr Kalam was a project director for SLV-3's launch.
