The 122-year-old container maker Thermos has ordered the recall of over 80 lakh stainless steel jars and bottles after three customers suffered "permanent vision loss" due to them. Thermos received 27 reports of consumers who were struck by a stopper forcefully ejecting from the containers upon opening. The affected products include those sold between March 2008 and July 2024.
