Semiconductor startup optoML has secured $1.8 million in a pre-Series A round led by Bluehill.VC and A99. The company recently completed tapeout of its 12nm chip with TSMC. It is also developing analogue in-memory AI processors with optical interconnects, targeting up to 50x higher energy efficiency for AI workloads across edge and data centre markets.
