Indian startups raised $662 million (₹6,315 crore) in July, down sharply from $2 billion (₹19,078 crore) in June, when Meta's investment in CRED boosted overall funding. July saw only one funding round above $100 million, with Emergent becoming the seventh unicorn of 2026. Despite the monthly decline, funding remained above May's $630 million (₹6,010 crore).
