Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov has accused Reliance of deliberately sabotaging the app's access for millions of users outside India via "BGP hijacking". Durov alleged it may be a competitive war, claiming Reliance is "partially owned" by WhatsApp parent Meta. He said he wouldn't be surprised if Reliance/WhatsApp were also behind recent "lobbying effort" to ban Telegram in India.
