Reliance’s consumer products arm is in advanced discussions to acquire a majority stake in Udhaiyams Agro Foods, a Chennai-based maker of staples, snacks and ready-to-cook mixes valued at around ₹668 crore. The deal, if completed, would expand Reliance’s FMCG portfolio and help it compete with brands such as Tata Consumer Products, iD Fresh and MTR in regional markets.
