Hyderabad-based startup Red Balloon Aerospace tested India's first super-pressure balloon in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada. Designed for high-altitude work, the platform supports weather research. The company said the balloon remained stable during trials and is expected to cut satellite costs and support defence in future, though more tests are planned before wider use by agencies and researchers.
