Railways to re appoint retired employees to curb staff shortage

The Railway Board has launched a recruitment drive to fill 25,000 vacancies across various zones, including the reappointment of retired employees that are under 65. These appointments will last for two years, with potential extensions. Re appointed staff will be paid their last drawn salary minus the basic pension, and must meet medical and performance criteria.
