AI startup Perplexity on Tuesday said it is planning on using Nvidia's new Vera central processing units (CPUs). Perplexity's Vice President for Computer Enterprise and Infrastructure, Nate Kupp, said that Vera stood out to the firm and is a "dead-on fit" for Perplexity's core workloads. Nvidia earlier said that OpenAI, Anthropic and Oracle were also planning on using its CPUs.
