Over 50% of the healthcare workers in India who participated in a survey feel that their workplace is 'unsafe', especially in state and central government medical colleges. The 'Workplace Safety and Security in Indian Healthcare Settings: A Cross-Sectional Survey' which was conducted among 1,566 healthcare workers, also found that 78.4% have been threatened on duty.
