NALCO and NLC India formed a 50:50 joint venture to develop a 1,080 MW captive thermal power plant in Odisha. The venture will supply power to NALCO under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement and support its 0.5 MTPA aluminium smelter expansion while ensuring long-term coal supply and energy security.
