Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) unveiled its FY 2026-27 Budget with a ₹48,072.57 crore outlay, marking its first surplus since 2017-18 after years of deficits. Around 87% of spending is earmarked for infrastructure projects. The authority credited land monetisation, stronger revenues and disciplined borrowing for the financial turnaround.
