Microsoft is reportedly developing its own AI reasoning models to compete with OpenAI, The Information reported. The company is reportedly also testing models from xAI, Meta and DeepSeek as possible replacements for OpenAI's technology in Copilot. Microsoft is a major OpenAI backer and has invested around $14 billion in the startup to date, as per reports.
