Amid new H-1B visa curbs being implemented this year, major US tech firms, including Meta, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix and Google, ended 2025 after collectively hiring over 32,000 employees in India. This marked an 18% year-on-year increase in big tech hiring in the country, according to data from staffing firm Xpheno. The overall Indian workforce rose to 2,14,000, it added.
