Maharashtra has asked the MMRDA to conduct feasibility studies for India's first pod taxi network linking Thane, Navi Mumbai, and Mira-Bhayandar. The automated, elevated Personal Rapid Transit system aims to reduce congestion, improve last-mile connectivity, and provide zero-emission travel. It will be implemented through a public-private partnership.
