Karnataka state IT/ITeS Employees Union (KITU) staged a protest in Bengaluru against extended working hours and unpaid overtime. It demanded enforcing daily work-hour limits, revoking IT sector's Industrial Employment Act exemption, strict action against labour law violations and implementation of ‘Right to Disconnect' policy. KITU said the protest is against politicians, not businesspersons.
