Qatar Airways signed a deal worth $200 billion with US aircraft manufacturer Boeing on Wednesday, which includes the purchase of 160 jets. The agreement was signed during US President Donald Trump's visit to Qatar. Trump remarked that Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg told him it was "the largest order of jets in the history of Boeing".

The Appointments Committee Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Ratnakar Patnaik as the Managing Director (MD) of LIC. Patnaik will assume his new role on or after June 01 2025, up to his superannuation on March 31 2028 or until further orders. Prior to this appointment, Patnaik worked as Executive Director & Chief Investment Officer and Key Managerial Personnel at LIC.

An X user claimed that IndiGo charged ₹8,111 as 'airline cancellation charges' after his flight was cancelled over India-Pakistan tensions. "This is blatant thuggery...You have the audacity to deduct 80% of the fees," the user said asking Civil Aviation Ministry if "this is allowed". A screenshot shared by him showed IndiGo charged ₹300 as 'cancellation service fees'.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued a notice to Amazon, Flipkart, Ubuy India, Etsy, The Flag Company and The Flag Corporation over the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise. "Such insensitivity will not be tolerated. E-commerce platforms are hereby directed to immediately remove all such content and adhere to National laws," Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said.

Indian Renewable Energy Development (IREDA) on Wednesday filed an insolvency application against Gensol Engineering for a default amount of ₹510 crore. Gensol failed to meet its repayment obligations, which prompted IREDA to take the legal route. The company reportedly secured ₹978-crore term loan from IREDA to purchase 6,400 EVs for ₹664 crore, but later purchased 4,700 vehicles for ₹567 crore.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) reported record FY25 results with total income at ₹5,411 crore (up 39%) and revenue from operations at ₹5,076 crore (up 41%). Profit After Tax (PAT) surged 48% to ₹527 crore. Q4FY25 also showed strong growth with revenue up 62% and PAT up 118%. The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹4.90 per share.

GAIL (India) Limited and the Government of Karnataka have signed an MoU to explore developing renewable energy projects up to 1 GW in the state. Karnataka will facilitate necessary approvals for GAIL, which aims to set up these projects within five years. The agreement was signed in Bengaluru by key officials from both entities, witnessed by state ministers.
