IndiGo has been fined ₹22.2 crore by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for widespread flight cancellations that disrupted operations in early December. The airline has also been directed to furnish a bank guarantee of ₹50 crore in favour of the regulator. A four-member DGCA panel had probed the widespread disruption that occurred between December 3 and 5.
