The Indian film, television and online video streaming industry generated a total economic contribution of ₹5.14 lakh crore in 2024, a Motion Picture Association-Deloitte report stated. The industry created over 26 lakh jobs in 2024 and is projected to create 40 lakh jobs by FY29. The report highlighted that digital media contributed to digital ad revenues by 17% in 2024.
