The Petroleum Ministry has imposed restrictions on petrol and diesel sales by retail outlets for 90 days, barring institutional, industrial and commercial customers from buying them. In a notification, the ministry said such customers can only source their fuel requirements from their own consumer pumps. It further limited diesel dispensation at retail outlets to 200 litres per vehicle per day.
