India remains the world’s fastest-growing major economy, with 7.6% growth this fiscal, 6.1% in 2026-27 and 6.4% in 2027-28, an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development report said. China’s growth is seen slowing to 4.4% in 2026 and 4.3% in 2027. The report added the Middle East war is testing global resilience, with Strait of Hormuz disruptions raising energy prices.
