The Nifty IT index tumbled 6% on Friday, tracking a dip in IT stocks in the US market, after Ireland-headquartered Accenture cut its revenue growth forecast from 3-5% to 3-4%. IT stocks even pulled Sensex lower by 800 points, wiping out investor wealth worth ₹1.3 lakh crore. This is because Accenture is one of the world's largest IT services companies.
