Nobel laureate and Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis was an early "angel investor" in rival AI startup Anthropic, Financial Times reported. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei was a senior research scientist at Google Brain and worked at OpenAI before co-founding Anthropic. The size of Hassabis's investment that took place before Anthropic emerged as a major player in generative AI remains undisclosed.
