Google has signed a deal with the US' defence department allowing it to use the firm's AI for "any lawful government purpose", The Information reported. This comes months after the Pentagon blacklisted AI startup Anthropic and labelled it a "supply chain risk" after it refused unrestricted access. The Pentagon has signed deals worth $200 million with AI labs.
