Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman directed officials to use tech-driven parameters for GST compliance. "Risk-based parameters must do the heavy lifting...not the taxpayer...We don't want anybody from the GST field formations adding one little more burden on the taxpayer," she said. "Don’t carry a GST 1.0 mindset...We don’t have the time and luxury of another 70 years to develop," she added.
