Google, Meta, and TikTok faced complaints from European Union consumer groups over alleged failure to curb financial scams on their platforms, exposing them to possible regulatory fines. Consumer groups said they identified 900 ads suspected of violating EU laws between December and March. The platforms removed only 27% of the ads, while 52% of the complaints were rejected or ignored.
