Crude oil prices jump nearly 3% after fresh US-Iran escalation

Global crude prices surged on Wednesday after fresh US military action against Iran and renewed sanctions on Iranian oil raised supply concerns. Brent crude rose 2.68% to $76.15 a barrel, while WTI gained 2.80% to $72.41. Traders feared disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz could tighten global energy markets.
