The official Coinbase website remained down for hours on Friday, hours after the company announced that AI was handling most of its workflow. The company had also announced its plans to fire 14% of its workforce, or 700 employees, on Thursday. The website's outage affected core functions, such as user transactions, and caused degraded performance due to an AWS outage.
