US hedge fund Citadel has told members of its global quantitative strategies team that they must either relocate or leave firm, Financial Times reported. Citadel denied earlier reports linking the move to data security concerns and said the changes were part of a broader strategy to bring teams closer together. Some researchers relocated to Singapore or Miami, while others resigned.
