Two Pierre Jeanneret-designed heritage chairs linked to Chandigarh have been withdrawn from a Paris auction after Ministry of External Affairs intervened at last minute on the directions of UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria. The chairs reportedly bore inventory markings linking them to Panjab University and PGIMER. Chandigarh Police registered two FIRs over suspected theft and unlawful export.
