Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and Mumbai-based mobility startup Chalo have begun their pilot for dynamic QR-based UPI ticketing through electronic ticketing machines (ETMs). The pilot has been rolled out in 50 buses and aims to cover all depots by May. Chalo will initially supply 11,000 smart ETMs and ticketing software under its four-year contract worth ₹30 crores.
