Billionaire philanthropist and Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos' ex-wife MacKenzie Scott has invested in Funding U, a startup founded by her college roommate Jeannie Tarkenton, AP reported. Tarkenton's father had given $1,000 to Scott decades ago, when the latter was unable to fund her college tuition fees. Funding U provides merit-based last-gap loans to low-income students without co-signers.
