A deal between Pakistan's barely month-old Crypto Council and US crypto firm World Liberty Financial (WLF) is under scanner in India and US, reports stated. US President Donald Trump's sons Eric and Trump Junior and son-in-law Jared Kushner collectively own 60% of WLF. Notably, Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir personally welcomed US officials who'd come to sign the deal.

Adani Group on Thursday said it has terminated its tie-up with China's DragonPass, days after signing it. "DragonPass customers will no longer have access to lounges at Adani-managed airports. This change will have no impact on airport lounge and travel experience for other customers," Adani Group said. This comes amid India-Pak tensions, which saw the latter using Chinese radars.

US President Donald Trump asked Apple CEO Tim Cook to shift production to US for devices that'll be sold in US. "I said, 'Tim, we've treated you really good. We put up with all...plants that you built in China...We're not interested in you building in India'," Trump said. "India can take care of themselves. They're doing very well," he added.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar replied to media after being asked about India-US trade deal amid US President Donald Trump's claim that India offered a deal with zero tariffs. Gold prices plunged ₹1,800 to ₹95,050 per 10 grams in Delhi on Thursday, according to the All India Sarafa Association. Gold of 99.9% purity had closed at ₹96,850 per 10 grams on Wednesday. GST network has eased documentation process under GST Amnesty Scheme, where taxpayers won't have to wait for formal approval of their appeal withdrawal. Taxpayers can now upload screenshot of "Appeal withdrawn" status to proceed with waiver application. For availing this, taxpayers must pay pending GST dues by March 31, 2025 and apply for waiver on or before June 30, 2025.

The Supreme Court, in an 11-year-old appeal, said that "heavy-handed" enforcement of competition regulations without studying their impact on the market can discourage long-term capital and expertise and hurt India's growth as a global manufacturing hub. The competition law is not meant to clip the wings of enterprises but to ensure rivals challenge the incumbent on merit, the court added.

India's merchandise trade deficit in April 2025 widened to $26.42 billion from $21.54 billion in March 2025. The merchandise exports rose 9% YoY to $38.49 billion, while its imports increased 19% YoY to $64.91 billion in April. Additionally, services exports increased 17% YoY to $35.31 billion, while its imports rose 4.6% YoY to $17.54 billion in the same period.
