Apple's board has opposed a proposal to end its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes. Conservative think tank, National Center for Public Policy Research, urged the firm to consider abolishing the programmes, saying they pose "litigation, reputational and financial risks to companies". However, Apple said the proposal "inappropriately seeks to micromanage" the company's programmes.
