Anthropic has tightened access to its Claude models after some Chinese companies allegedly bypassed restrictions using overseas subsidiaries, cloud services and VPNs, FT reported. Its policies prohibit Chinese firms and their entities from using Claude. Anthropic is strengthening detection by monitoring time zones, network traffic and suspicious account activity to prevent unauthorised access.
