Swiggy Instamart appoints Flipkart's ex-exec as SVP of Operations

Swiggy Instamart has appointed Flipkart's former executive, Ankit Jain, as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Operations. Prior to the appointment, Jain served as the SVP and Head of grocery and large supply chain at Flipkart and also led the design team at Ekart, Flipkart’s logistics arm. Before his stint at Flipkart, Jain worked at Unilever for 14 years.

Ola Electric has postponed its plan to integrate indigenously developed battery cells into its electric vehicles by "a few months". This comes as the firm wants to stabilise Roadster and Gen 3 platform in the market and improve commercial production yields from 60% to 80%, CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said. Ola's revenue fell 62% YoY to ₹611 crore in FY25 Q4.

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan denied the report of Google offering him $100 million in the form of restricted stock units in 2011 to stop him from joining X, then called Twitter. This comes after Zerodha CEO Nikhil Kamath told Neal that he read about Google's offer 15 years ago. "Don't believe every...[news]...even if it was 15 years ago," Neal said.

Traders and wholesalers can stock up to 3,000 tonnes of wheat and retailers can hold up to 10 tonnes at each outlet. German candy maker Haribo has recalled packets of sweets in Netherlands after traces of cannabis were found in them. Several people reported feeling unwell and dizzy after eating candy from a 1kg pack of Haribo Happy Cola F!ZZ. It is yet unclear whether the contaminated packets of sweets are genuine Haribo products. They bear best-before date of January 2026.

Chipmaker Nvidia overtook Microsoft to once again become world's most valuable company by market capitalisation. As of Thursday, Nvidia's market capitalisation stood at $3.427 trillion, following an over 6% rise in share price over the past five days, while that of Microsoft stood at $3.388 trillion. Nvidia's capitalisation saw a $185-billion rise in intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
