OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on Monday claimed that ChatGPT added one million users in a single hour, following the rollout of a new image generation feature which allows people to share Ghibli-inspired images created by ChatGPT. He said, "ChatGPT launch 26 months ago was one of the craziest viral moments I'd ever seen...we added one million users in...the last hour."
