In Maharashtra, the Pune district administration is preparing a proposal to ban vehicles older than 15 years from entering city limits to curb rising air pollution and traffic congestion. If approved by the state government, more than 7 lakh older vehicles, including private cars, two-wheelers, and transport vehicles, will be affected, especially daily commuters using older bikes and scooters.
